Year 1 enjoyed making their very own coffee-filter butterflies for their topic, Minibeasts! We used beautiful colours on bun cases and then added drops of water. We left our butterflies to dry in the sun and noticed how the colours had mixed together the next day. We folded the wings and then added the antennas using pipe cleaners.
