Our Year 7 pupils have hit the ground running this September!
They've enthusiastically embraced their new roles as buddies to The Hive and Year 1 at Forest School. On the 25th, they confidently launched the School Council and Eco-Schools during assembly.
Linking to their WAU topic on Northern Ireland, Year 7 visited Windsor Park Stadium and followed it up by writing a shared poem inspired by Seamus Heaney.
In Numeracy, learning has combined practical investigations with core skills work. Literacy saw them using Quizlet to master spellings and grammar. They are also thoroughly enjoying the class novel, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, while learning about C.S. Lewis.
It's been a very busy, but highly rewarding, first month!
