Year six’s current topic is ‘Eco-Warriors’. We have been learning all about the importance of recycling, how to dispose of waste correctly, how to be sustainable, what climate change is and most recently the different types of pollution. We carried out a scientific investigation today on the effects of oil spillages on birds. We learnt that oil and water do not mix and saw the sad reality of what may happen to a bird if it seeks it’s prey from an ocean polluted with oil.
