Ten pupils took part in a sponsored swim and £52 was raised for Lions’ Charity. P4 – 7 collected £149-10 for N.S.P.C.C. Book tokens were awarded to :-

Miss Thompson, Miss Hood and Miss Aiken spent four weeks with us. They are students at Stranmillis College. Miss Calverley was also with us for two weeks. She is at college in England.

Thursday 24th March

P7 won the Pollock Shield at Larne Drama Festival.

Jubilee

Representatives of the P.A. came to our special Jubilee Assembly on Thursday 2nd June and presented a Jubilee Crown to each pupil and the staff.

P7 joined the Jubilee Parade with their “Camel Caravan.”

The school float – Joseph’s Camel Caravan – won first prize in the Youth Section.

Colin Meban, Janice Adamson and Robert Ferguson won their A.S.A. Gold Medals in the Tower Pool.

Roger Smyth won a prize and had his painting exhibited in the Wordl ~Wildlife Fun Painting Contest.

Mr Wiley was appointed V.P. of Larne and Inver.
