1984 - 1985

The year started with changes. Mrs Haveron, now V.P., came to the P3 room.

Mrs Minford and Mrs Walker joined the staff.

Mrs Craig and P6 moved down to the main building.

Sunday 9th September

The Sabbath School held its centenary service at 3.30pm.

R.U.C. Road Safety Unit visited the school.

Parents’ Association Sale

A stall selling R.N.L.I. souvenirs was very successful. Over £100 of goods was sold.

This year’s collection – £451.65

Ethiopian Appeal

The Infants laid a ‘2p’ line. P4 – 7 had a Tuck Shop. A cheque for £230 was sent to the Save the Children Fund.

We hosted the third round of the quiz. Lisa Magill and Colin Craig represented us on Team C.

March 18 Anti Smoking Film

Monday 1st April

37 pupils and Mrs Craig, Mrs Andrews, Mrs McAuley and Mr Burns left for London.

During the summer term, P7 took part in the B.B.C. Doomsday Project. Their 12 km2 area took in the main part of the town, the Harbour and the North end of Islandmagee. On 16th May the class went over on the ferry. The results were put on computer laser disc.
