For shared reading, one of the books we have read recently is The Pig in the Pond by Martin Waddell. We decided to investigate ways we could rescue the pig in our ‘pond’ without using our hands. We explored what happens to the water level when we placed heavy stones in and predicted whether they would float or sink. We then passed a stone around the circle and decided whether it was heavy or light!
