Our Dress Code at Olderfleet

The Olderfleet dress code/uniform is flexible with a range of options for families to choose from. We emphasise flexibility and affordability.

We keep options open so if families wish to they can have a separate set of clothes/shoes for school but they don’t have to. Our dress code allows for clothing that isn’t traditionally “school wear” so families currently experiencing a financial stretch don’t have to buy clothes which are only for school.

    • Plain navy sweatshirt or cardigan from any high street or online shop -

  • While the school branded elements of the uniform have been updated, clothing with the former school badge can still be worn and is still available through the school eco boutique and Woodsides (Polo shirt £13.99 and Sweatshirt £18.99) while stocks last.

Our recommendations are chosen to encourage practical and safe options.

    • Footwear should be flat and ideally soft soled (think what you would be comfortable wearing while scaling the climbing wall in the side playground)

    • Jewellery should be kept to a minimum and consider safety (e.g. studs rather than dangly earrings)

    • In warmer weather lighter options such as summer dress/jumpsuit or shorts can be worn (shorts should be longer than the top they are worn with)

Making use of our Eco Boutique

Our Olderfleet families can share preloved uniforms with each other at the Eco Boutique. The school uniform Eco Boutiques are open throughout June and September while stock lasts.

Our Eco Boutiques are simply a community space for the Olderfleet family to sustainably share hand-me-downs. No costs or swaps required!

Other Eco Boutiques that run throughout the year include:

  • Winter clothes (October)

  • World Book Day Costumes (February)

  • Summer clothes (May)

    • School sports kits (t-shirt and shorts) are loaned to the pupils taking part in any school sporting tournaments

    • Please wash these after wear and return to school
