November 2026
And just like that!
We can’t believe it’s half term already! A lot has happened in the last two months, with even more planned for next half term. In November, we’ll be preparing for lots of Christmas events, which will also involve our families. We’ll get information and dates for these out on Seesaw as soon as they are confirmed.
School council elections have been taking place over the last two weeks, and the new members will be announced on our first day back in November. George and Molly will be writing a blog reviewing their year in office, where a lot was achieved. We are excited to meet the new team and see what we want to do next!

Tour Time - Our first open night
Tour Time
We are officially moving into the season where families tour schools to consider where their children will start their primary school journey. The first of these tours will take place on Thursday, 26 November, from 5pm–7pm, and you’ll soon start to see social media posts promoting them.
We are also distributing postcards and leaflets around town. If you know of any local clubs, shops, or community spaces where we could leave some, please pop into the office and pick up a pile!
Finally, you may well notice another burst of activity over the next month as we put the finishing touches on our school transformation!
Olderfleet Docs
We have a few blog articles in progress at the minute, ranging from approaches to spelling, classroom design and collective care. So watch this space!
In the meantime we have two documents ready for sharing- our Governors’ Annual Report and an overview of our School Development Plan.
Class Catch Up
Our second class catch-ups for this school year are being added as we speak! Who was causing mayhem writing on the tables, the floor, mirrors, stones and hats? Which class completed their round the world adventure? Only one way to find out!
