It has been a busy and exciting October in The Hive, with lots of learning, creativity and a little bit of spooky fun along the way!
In Numeracy, we have been exploring our shape topic, learning all about 2D and 3D shapes. We have been busy spotting shapes, looking at their properties and discovering where we can find them in the world around us.
Our Literacy lessons have taken a spooky turn this month! We have been busy writing our very own spooky potions, thinking of all sorts of creepy ingredients to add to our brews. We have also enjoyed some autumn animal writing, using our imaginations to bring our ideas to life.
We have officially finished our Around the World topic! To see how much we could remember, we put our knowledge to the test with a quiz. We were especially impressed with how well everyone remembered the seven continents.
Our classroom has had a Halloween makeover, and we have loved getting creative with our Halloween art. From spooky skeletons to pom-pom spiders, our Hive has been filled with some wonderfully creepy creations!
Friday baking continues to be a highlight of our week! This month, we have made penguin bananas inspired by our learning about Antarctica and some delicious Rice Krispie Frankensteins. We love finding ways to link our baking adventures to our classroom learning.
It has been another lovely month of learning, laughter and making memories in The Hive. We are so proud of all the wonderful things our Hive family has been getting up to and cannot wait to see what the next month brings!
