What a lovely start to the new school year we have had in the Hive!
It has been wonderful to welcome everyone back after the summer and see familiar faces return. Our Hive has also had a little extra buzz this year as we welcomed some new friends to our family. It has been lovely watching everyone settle in, build new friendships and get back into the routines of school.
We have started our new ‘Our World’ topic and have already begun exploring different places around the world. There are so many interesting places, people and cultures for us to discover, and we are looking forward to seeing where our topic takes us over the coming weeks.
Back in the classroom, everyone has successfully settled into their new Literacy and Numeracy routines. Our PDMU learning has also started with a focus on ourselves, celebrating our unique personalities, interests, and feelings.
September brought fantastic opportunities to get out and about, including a fun school-wide sponsored walk along the Larne Promenade and an exciting trip with P1, P2, and P3 to the Larne P&O Port where we went through security, spotted a lifeboat and saw a huge ferry up close.
It has been a fantastic first month back in the Hive, with new friendships, new learning and plenty of memorable moments along the way. We are so proud of how everyone has settled into the new school year and are looking forward to all the learning and adventures still to come.
Here’s to another fantastic year in the Hive! 🐝
